Morning (Arrival): Reach the Jammu Airport or Jammu Tawi Railway Station. Mid-Day (Transit): Hire a taxi or board a local bus to travel to Katra (approx. 45 km / 2 hours). Check into your Katra hotel to freshen up and leave your heavy luggage. Afternoon (Registration): Obtain your mandatory Yatra Parcha (Travel Slip) at the Katra counter or collect your pre-booked online pass. Evening (Trek Commencement): Reach Banganga (the starting point) and begin the 12 km trek up to the Bhawan. Trekking at night is highly recommended as the weather is cooler and the path is beautifully illuminated.

Early Morning (Darshan): Reach the Vaishno Devi Bhawan. Standard holy cave entry takes 2 to 4 hours depending on the crowd. Morning (Bhairon Nath Temple): Take the ropeway or walk 2 km further up to the Bhairon Nath Temple. Note: The yatra is considered incomplete without visiting this temple. Afternoon (Descent): Begin walking back down to Katra. Alternatively, use battery-operated cars (available between Adhkuwari and Bhawan) or ponies if you are exhausted. Evening (Rest): Reach your hotel in Katra by late afternoon. Dedicate the evening strictly to foot massages, a hearty dinner, and a well-deserved overnight sleep.

Morning (Return to Jammu): Have breakfast and check out of your Katra hotel. Travel back to Jammu. Mid-Day (Local Sightseeing): Visit the historic Raghunath Temple in the heart of Jammu city. Next, explore the magnificent Bahu Fort and its adjoining Bagh-e-Bahu gardens overlooking the Tawi River. Afternoon (Shopping & Lunch): Enjoy local Dogra cuisine (like Rajma Chawal and Kalaadi) and shop for dry fruits or local handicrafts at Raghunath Bazaar. Evening (Departure): Head to the Jammu Airport or Railway Station for your journey homeward.
